Thread: Filezilla is really slow :(

Hi guys,

I am using Filezilla to download files stored on my Feral Hosting account. I had an account with them a few months back and I always maxed my download speed when using Filezilla but since getting a new account 2 days ago I only ever get 1/10th of speed.

I saw that if I limited simultaneous connections to 7 it would get faster but when I done so I get getting stuff like 'Critical Error' 'Authentication Failed' & 'Could not Connect to Server' when trying to log on.

Is there anything I can do to increase speed and fix this problem?

You have signed up on a new server on a new network; ovh

ovh is experiencing extreme traffic congestion, so if your anywhere in north america, south america, asia, or western europe, your speeds will suffer.

You cannot do anything, except maybe eat a sandwich while you wait for the download to complete at a slower pace.

I'm with Virgin and recent Speed tests show I'm getting my full 50mb. What's ovh?

So there is noooooooooooooo way to make it faster? :'(
