    Default Question, legal framework, security

    Hello everyone.

I guess it has been asked many times. It is probably what this whole forum is about. I triied to inform myself but i couldnt find all the answers.

So i would like to get my own ip address free of none leagal data transfer. As far as i understood it would be a good option to rent some kind of server somewhere which handles none leagal data for me instead. I would then set up an encrypted connection to that server to access that data. There are many services offered but for all of them i can not tell excatly if i can trust them. I think i understand the technical background of doing such things, but still i dont unterstand the legal and law framework at all. Why would renting such a box not give outhorities the option to just inspect the company where i rent that server, access theire hardware and then find out about me?

    - how do you rent such a server not linkable to your name? i mean you have to pay for them with an account liked to your name. would you go as far as creating a swiss number accounter i.e.?

    - i read that holland would be a location where many people rent theire servers? where is the leagal framework for that? how am i sure, that the officials in the country where i rent that server do not get a legal access to my box? i guess there must be someone who spent serious time and knowledge in researching different laws to come up with a secure methode to rent such a box in a law space which is secure for such activities. where can i read more about that topic, or where is the condensed information and source which can tell me the currently savest location for such activities?

To be able to rent servers without giving up personal information..I reccomend giving resellers a try such as Seedroots.

You can sign up for a dedicated server thru OVH which is in France completely anonymously without giving up any personal information..

As for officials getting access to your box, that is highly unlikely as I've personally used a box for over 3 months and its been fine :)

I think the problem is not signing up anonymously, everyone can make up some fake name, birth date and street.
The important thing is the way payment is conducted. Thats the way they could possibly trace most of the seedbox users because not many providers accept anonymous ways of payment like paysafecard or ukash.
And since I wouldnt recommend to anyone to commit any kind of credit card fraud or whatsoever to rent a server anonymously, I guess most people pay using bank transfers, paypal or using their own credit cards.

So there will never be 100% security. You have to face the risk if you use a seedbox, if you cant do that better not use one ;)
