I am trying to use the unpack function in my seedbox. I have the torrent with .rar files but I can't upload rar files. What is the process to unpack/convert these into another file and create a torrent from that? Thanks

You can find more information about upacking here: PluginUnpack - rutorrent - Yet another web front-end for rTorrent - Google Project Hosting
You also have to make sure that the shell files located in the PluginUnpack is executable.
yea. I unpacked the folder with the rar files and have a .mkv file. I tried uploading that file but I could never get it seeding on my seedbox. Not sure if I was doing something wrong.
Have you created a new torrent of the .mkv file ?
Bit more info and i'll try and help you.
The likely cause is the unrared file is simply not in the default download dir, so it never hashes to 100%.
Nothing. I unpack the file and it has no errors supposedly. It was .rar files(about 30) and now I have an .mkv about 1.3gb for the movie. I add the torrent to the seedbox and it shows red down arrow. I upload to site and download the file and it turns blue and says downloading but does nothing. It just sits there.
Might have been the site at the time as it went down about 30 min later but I am not sure if it was something I was doing.
Here is a picture when I added the .torrent to the seedbox and tried to download the file once I uploaded:

It stayed 'red' seed and would not move/check.
And here is a picture when I removed the torrent and then downloaded from file I uploaded:

Here when I removed the file and then just downloaded from the tracker it turned blue and said downloading but never moved.

must be having a problem when I want to unpack rar files to convert them so I can upload to trackers that don't allow rar files. Because I just uploaded a torrent just fine that was not rar to begin with.

well I must be doing something wrong. I have the unpack auto enabled. When I create a torrent using the .mkv file that the unpack creates and upload it...when I download the torrent off the tracker it is stuck at 0% and says downloading. I must be doing something wrong when it comes to using the unpack and upload.
I know exactly what your problem is, just follow these steps:
In your torrent client, configure your rTorrent Unpack settings to look like this..
Create a new folder and name it Unpack
Enable [Autounpacking]
Enable [Torrent Label]
Enable [Torrent Name]
Eg.. http://image.torrent-invites.com/images/176Unpack.png
Then try to download any torrent which has .rar files.. it will finally unpack the .rar files to a new folder in the Unpack folder
eg. when you download a torrent with title like Nikita.S02E13.HDTV.XviD-LOL it goes into the Default data folder, once it finish unpacking, in your Unpack folder you should have Nikita.S02E13.HDTV.XviD-LOL/Nikita.S02E13.HDTV.XviD-LOL.avi..
Open the Unpack folder -->
Create the torrent from the Unpack Folder -->
Upload it to the tracker of your choice..
If you are uploading to a private tracker then you need to redownload the new .torrent file..
Click Add New Torrent--->
Select the directory where you created the .torrent file from
Eg.. http://image.torrent-invites.com/ima...dd_Torrent.png
Then add the .new torrent file you downloaded from the tracker..
It should check the file to 100%...
Hope this helps you...
