    Default [Bad News] Email I received from Ultraseedbox

    I got this email from Ultraseedbox today, it looks like they have already taken the OVH seedboxes off of their site that were for sale, and all of their SL seedboxes are sold out at the moment.

    We need to inform you that we have some legal issues with OVH regarding use of their dedictaed servers and OVH trademark.



    From OVH legal departement: "Your servers are hosting proxy services, torrent servers etc... Furthermore we have noticed that your website ultraseedbox.com was fraudulently using our trademark OVH. All these elements justify an immediate termination of your contract."

    Not saying that everyone used their VPS for such activites but aparently some did. We don't know at the moment how big this is but we are prepared for worst case senario.

    All this struck us today out of blue without prior notice or warnings. We will have more news in the next 12-16 hours but things don't look good.

    If your VPS is still accessible we suggest you take backups of things you need most because servers may go offline and never come back.

    Man that sucks. Hopefully ultraseed can still keep thier contract but things do not look good. There were so many good reviews about these guys to. Hopefully they can still pull through.

    Well this doesn't really sound good, I had a simiilar issue with my seedbox providers, but after a week issue got resolved, i only hope things things turn out well and the only reason why this should cause a termination of contract is the fear of legal cases.. anyway thanks for informing a few of us who are unaware of this issue...

    You're welcome. I don't understand the whole thing too much, since seedboxes are for well... you know. So it makes no sense what was said in the email to me. As for the copyright thing, they were using the term OVH and weren't supposed to, but they were using official OVH stuff? That's also a little fuzzy to me.

    If any mods want to move this to a real news section, I'd be alright with that! :)

    This is really unfortunate. Hopefully Ultraseedbox can come out with a solution, they provide a great service from people who care.

    Sad to here that. OVH seems to be finicky with how they operate. If your looking for a new box, you can check out DTSLeech.com, they are relatively new but have a solid reputation with their users.
