You can go with most providers. Most are setup with rtorrent/rutorrent, which is very user friendly. Check some reviews before you purchase, from the review section on here.

I always recommend whatbox.ca to newbies. Start with their $15 Flex plan. It's really fast, and very unlikely that you will hit the bandwidth cap. Instant setup (seriously) and 0 configuration on your part. It was my first seedbox, and I don't regret it. I've looked for better deals for starters, and I can't find any. Customer support in IRC there is great. No matter what, I would say never go with anything that's "unmetered" as the speed will likely be shit.

$15 Flex plan is 150GB space, 150Mbps, and 1.5TB upload allowed per month

Seems to be sold out right now though, but their Heat plan is available to.

$18 Heat plan is 100GB space, 300Mbps speed, and 2.5TB upload allowed per month. With the Heat plan you will get an insane ratio very fast if you add the right torrents, but the HDD is a bit limited. For general use, Flex is probably better, but for speed demons, Heat is amazing.

I switched between Flex and Heat my first month, and I got ~2.5TB upload credit in less than a month on IPT. I did add new torrents pretty vigorously though. If you get a whatbox.ca plan and you need any help getting your ratio up, feel free to PM me. (I would advertise my help with other providers, but I've only used whatbox)

I just started with whatbox (2d). Looks really promising and should be easy enough for an unexperienced user. You could only use the webinterface, if that's enough for you. You can find some info here: Features · Whatbox
