To be more clear. It is only for US users that they require proof of identity. US users can sign up at kimsufi.ie and pay 14.97 euros per month.

Not sure about that. I think all users now go through some kind of verification. I had to do it via SMS if I remember correctly. Using ovh.co.uk a few years back.

If your worried about giving over your details (not that u should be really) just find a cheap re-seller. Most honest re-sellers dont add alot on to the price. Enough to cover the extra fee's involved and a couple of £ on top. Really shouldnt be paying any more than £20 / $32 / 25 euro for the kimi 2G box

I just went through the process myself in getting a kimsufi server and had to send in my id and proof of address. You can edit out your id# and account #'s. It took them about a day to verify, and a day to have my server setup after they accepted my payment. If it didn't work out, i found a pretty cheap reseller. Personal dedicated servers - 100Mbps, High storage and RAM | Pulsed Media Most other resellers charge about 30 euro whereas this one is 20.

I myself got scared of ordering the server because they asked for a Dirving licence :p

What is there to be afriad of?
I myself also had to send in some sort of identification and a utility bill. This is for ovh.ie and I'm from the states.
