Default Seednet.eu ??? Small review, and questions...

So I've had a seedbox with seednet.eu for a couple days now. I've managed to upload around 2TB in these 3-4 days that ive had this box. I only went with their smallest seedbox plan, their "Aluminum" Plan. To break it down here are the important specs of the box:

    Aluminum Plan (£ 11.99/mo)
    HDD Space: 110GB
    RAM: 500MB DDR2
    Processor: 1Ghz
    Processor Burstable: 2 x 2.3Ghz
Uplink Port: 100Mbps - Full Duplex
    Bandwidth: Unlimited
    IncludedIPs: 1
    Setup Time: Instant
    Amount of active torrents: Unlimited

Ive been downloading as well as posting torrents with this box. Fastest upload speed I hit was around 8MB/sec sustained on multiple files for a period of time. Easily maintains 4-5MB/sec on new and popular torrents (upload speed). Average upload from multiple files just sitting around for days is around 1-2MB/sec, sometimes lower of course as the more seeds hop on. Download speed easily hits 7-8MB/sec on good torrents, average of around 5MB/sec download on slower ones.

This company also offers 1 GBps connections as well. Those cost a little more but not much. The more expensive the plan obviously the hardware specs increase as well. All boxes are unlimited bandwidth with unlimited number of torrents. I'm actually thinking of upgrading to their cheapest 1GBps plan (which is right above my current 100MBps plan). Ive never used a 1GBps plan before so i don't know what kind of speeds it is really capable of. But if it goes even faster than my current 100MBps plan then I would be happy. Only thing is I don't know how many people share the 1Gigabit connection. I don't even know how many people (if any) that i share my 100mbit plan with. I have contacted them by email asking what kind of speeds are capable with the gigabit plans and also how much of that bandwidth that I am guaranteed. Will edit this post once I hear from them. I'm surprised that I haven't heard or seen anything on this site about seednet.eu so i thought i would join and tell u guys about it as well as ask if anyone else has ever heard of or tried these seedboxes before? And if so, what kind of experience did you have? Hope to hear from some people soon! HAPPY SEEDING!!

yup i will do that as soon as the tracker goes back up.. having downtime issues right now. not with the box,, but with one of the private tracker i use.

    Screenshot here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/442/speedyj.jpg/

That screenshot is just of the fast download speed, its downloading at 9.4mb/sec.. as u can notice it is only uploading at 1.4mb/sec because the torrent that is downloading had quite a few seeders. will make another screenshot soon to show u upload speed. once the other tracker goes back up (now their site says they might b down for a couple days :/) but as soon as they are up or if i good a good upload before then then i will add another screenshot

I'm on their cheapest gbit plan. I've only been with them for about two weeks and have found their speeds considerably slower then my experience with EvoBoxes. However for the price I can't really complain.

I just signed up for the same account! I think there is some kind of problem though... I am getting a VM failed to create error. I looked all over the FAQ's and can't find anything. So, I went ahead and submitted a ticket to them. Hopefully, this is just a simple glitch and not a sign of things to come. I am VERY new to this, so it is probably just me...

OK, they got it fixed within a few hours. I am getting 4.1 MB/s up & 8.3 MB/s down right now. A LOT better than at home! The only "tracker" I have is Demonoid though. Should I be concerned about the privacy aspect still? I don't know what their policies are in that regard...

    I also own a seednet.eu box. (1Gbps plan)

Download speed is impressive (peak 70MB/s easily), but upload seems a bit lower (1 to 5 MB/s max).

I love the possibility to manage the seedbox by yourself (which is great, for 90% of issues you just need to restart the seedbox and you can do it in no time) and, last but not least, is not that much expensive.

Sure thing, I will renew my plan with them, maybe I will go larger with HDD space, but I'm really happy of their service.
