Thread: Looking for seedbox any recommendations ?

I'm trying to stay under $20 a month needs to have rapidleech and torrent support. I'm trying to remote upload the files from the seedbox to file host such as filesonic ect. Im new to the seedbox world so any help or a point in the right direction would be appreciated

And I think you're better off using a VPS/dedi for this because you can/have a GUI to actually do things but that will set you back more than $20... Maybe even double that.

I like whatbox.ca so far. $15 for Flex plan, $18 for Heat. You can upload to filesonic I believe via SSH with a program called "plowshare" you can get -v

how do you guys feel about Seedstuff for what im trying to do? anyone use them yet ?

Depending on how many files you will be uploading, remember the speed difference to. Seedstuff.ca is a shared 100Mbps line. As far as I know, that means you will get 12MB per second up if nobody else is using a lot of bandwidth. With Heat from whatbox.ca, from what I understand, you share a 1Gbps line with some other people, and you rarely don't get the 300Mbps they promise you. 300Mbps is about 38MB per second up. You might not even be able to upload to filesonic or similar sites at that speed though, I think multiupload limited me to ~20-25MB per second up. For general torrenting you'll rarely need 300Mbps as a newbie though, I actually just downgraded to the Flex plan for that reason. ~18MB a second is enough for me.

what box are you using ? thats what im trying to do. i upload to multiupload too.
