Thread: POLL: How much would you pay for this Dedicated Server?

Hey guys. I'm looking into a certain server range and just curious how much people would pay for something with specs like this:

Intel i7-2600 @ 3.4GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
2x1TB HDD (6gb/s 7200rpm) [NO RAID AVAILABLE]
1Gbps Dedicated and Unlimited
(KVM is free)
Located in a high quality european datacenter with a 1.2Tbps network. Network speed wont be an issue trust me.

So for something like this, would anyone be interested in anything of this size? what would people pay? Would you like to see smaller or larger setups? Would metered bandwidth be more appealing?
Note that this is really unlimited, you can do 300+TB up and down whenever.

billing question: Would a setup fee based system with a lower monthly bill be more appealing? Or just a higher monthly bill?

Maybe you could offer some promo for first month or new customer?

I'd pay 1000 euros with windows for the whole year or say ~ 100 euros per month.

Yeah setup fees suck, But they exist sometimes to keep down the monthly cost.

You mean like SSDs or extra memory? For my personal needs its fine but SSDs will increase the cost a lot for instance.

Yeah, like SSD's, more ram, less ram, bigger or smaller HDD's, raid. ect.

This is really awesome Specs, and I would like to pay 99Euro/Month for that Server. If it will be of 99Euro Most of the person will buy it at that price. :)

I would pay quite generously for a hybrid server that is set up by someone that knows how to do it.

- OS on SSD
- Data on RAID0 or RAID10
- swap / temp / cache on SSD
- ip stack optimized for connections & throughput
- no fuss on maintaining the OS myself but secure as hell

Price? Anywhere from $120 to $200. But that's just me.

no doubt the price tag must be between 100-150 euros....the specs are really awesome
