    Hi,

Im new to seed boxes, and am looking to stick one on my dedi.....I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world but manage okay with most tasks.

I'm trying to install seedbox software onto the server but am having no joy what so ever...Ive followed the tutorials on here and other sites to no joy at all.

I have WHM/cPanel installed and its running CentOS...

Any help at all would be great...I'm ripping my hair out!

You didn't specify any particular problem.
Do you get any error message? What are you even trying to install? What's the problem?

I would recommend you use PluginAutodlirssi - rutorrent - Yet another web front-end for rTorrent - Google Project Hosting , because it's the easiest way to fully install a seedbox with all plugins for newbies.

I would also recommend you making an introduction, because repped in members will be helped better and more thoughtfully: http://www.torrent-invites.com/start...tion-form.html

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

I would steer clear from CentOS unless you have previous experience installing/configuring CentOS elsewhere. Personally I feel that CentOS is an excellent stable system but it needs a lot more manual labour to get things done correctly. Other distros like Ubuntu and Debian are somewhat more friendly and if you choose to install ApplicationX, those OS'es usually help you out by installing not only all dependencies but also do/give a basic configuration to start with.
