Dear Admins of Seedboxes,
I am a law student in the USA and I am writing a paper for publication in a national law review journal on the topic of seedboxes. I have some questions about seedboxes, and you are the best source for credible information. I am in my initial stages of research right now, so my questions are limited. I am not a member of any law enforcement agency, and if you'd like I can keep your answers anonymous. Here are some of my initial questions.

5. How much money did it cost to start the company? What purchases must a seedbox company make at start up?
6. How long did it take to start? How many employees do you have?
7. What makes your company different from other seedbox companies?

Operation.
8. How many users does your seedbox have?
9. How much bandwidth does your company use?
10. Is the company profitable?

Legal issues.
11. Have you ever received any requests for the production of documents from copyright owners?
12. Have you ever been threatened with a law suit? If so, who threatened and where did they file suit? How was the case resolved?
13. Does your ISP or server provider care about the potential copyright violations?

14. What have you learned from operating a seedbox?

I am working for free to create a legal analysis that can only benefit you. By the time it is published, I will probably have invested over 350 hours into the paper. If you don't want to contribute to something that could actually make you more money, shed light on an unclear and divisive issue, and decrease the uncertainty of many seedbox users and owners...then don't. Many companies have already contacted me via PM with legitimate responses. For their time and effort, I am thankful, and the community should also be thankful.

On the issue of being in the 1%, you obviously do not understand the legal market right now. Law Graduates Face a Tough Job Market - WSJ.com I will graduate with a M.Ed a JD and $250k in debt, only to work for free. Sound like being in the 1%?
