Kimi 2g access denied
so got a new kimi 2g the other day got everything installed but noticed i dont have any access to the etc file when i went to edit the host file it says access denied also noticed everything in the main directory is set to 0 for owner any idea how to fix this?

Will give u heads up m8 wouldnt mess too much i lost my 16g 3 days after purchase altho i think it was messing with ssh keys, i was also told in irc that editing the host file was illegal hence not allowed your choice i guess m8 but this is the whole reason i cannot go on b2s as i cant edit my host file m8

You should be able to do anything you want including editting host files.. Im not sure why editting host files would be illegal unless you dont own the domain your pointing it at..

Why go tru the hassle of checking/repairing/correcting things that might have gone wrong? Unless you already installed a humongous amount of apps, I would say it's easier to reinstall the machine from OVH Manager and go from there.
ive done that a few times each time i use the script my ownership stays 0 but the directory of the rutorrent user i created is 1000

What script are you using? sounds like an issue with it..

In all honesty, I never liked those scripts there... Too much hassle although very automated (according to their own description). I used a lot of tutorials from here with a little bit of tweaks & fiddles after doing my own research on various libs/apps/things.
What the heck, I can do you a certain install for free, if you want to... PM me for more info...
PM Me and I will run my setup script on your box if you don't mind me having root access for a bit. Its better then having a non usable box :)
