    Default rutorrent question

    1. Will it keep seeding if I close my browser?
    2. What are the best setting for it to get max speed?
    3. Seed/Peer info doesn't look (track) correctly. On my utorrent it says like 1200 (s) and 98 (p) but in rtorrent it just says 0 and isn't doing crap.

That's all I have so far.

    Thanks

    1. Yes as long as rtorrent is running on your box. However any plugins that work in the background like schedulers, RSS, auto-dl, will not start with rtorrent. So if you need to restart rtorrent you should open ruTorrent in your browser straight after restarting to initialise them. You can instead of this add a command in the rtorrent config file, to start them automatically when rtorrent starts.

    2. Well the settings on ruTorrent aren't really that important, it is the settings in your rtorrent config file that matter, and there are a few posts in this section on that already so have a look around this forum. You can find an example of my rtorrent config file at the following post, but you may need to change this depending on your server config - Advice for rtorrent.rc config

If you are using a pre-configured seedbox, the config your provider set-up should be optimised to your server/slot

    3. Try the show_peers_like_wtorrent plugin. Then it will show seeds and peers connected, and if the tracker provides it, total seeds and peers for that torrent. You are probably just seeing the seeds and peers connected at the moment. Check the seedbox tutorials section to see how to install ruTorrent plugins

    Thanks

Next issue is every .torrent file I make looks to work but no one can DL them. The trackers all say there up and everything is running but utorrent show a blue arrow and no traffic. What gives. Looks easy and straight forward but It's just not working. Tried different settings and trackers and nothing is working.

    Suggestions?

Do you still have problems with your upload speed?
The torrent you posted in your first post was full of seeders and all the leechers were no real leechers, but partial seeders.
Have you been able to download at full speed?
DHT always needs to be disable at private trackers, because this means that people can connect and download from you without connecting to the tracker - therefore you get no upload credit.

I think those tutorials would help you a lot to get the maximum out of your seedbox:

About your pic, there are 506 people that are offering something and only 40 that want it. What are the chances that one of those 40 to download from you ? Very small !

That's exactly what I tried to explain to you.
This torrent has 506 seeders and 40 leechers, but it's an old torrent. The leechers are in fact no leechers they have just downloaded a small portion of the torrent (in this case most likely just the sample) and they are now seeding too. You can not upload to them. It's called partial seeders.
If even someone is a leecher your upload will be VERY small, because there are more than 500 people to download from.
To avoid this you should try to jump on torrents as soon as they are released (a few minutes afterwards) only then you have a change to get some upload credit.
Unless you like those torrent because of their content stay away from them, because they will only hurt your ratio.
The tutorials I posted you may seem like a lot of content, but it's really worth reading.

None of those 40 is even downloading, maybe one or two, but still very unlikely.
