    Default SolusVM and Webmin?

Sorry, but i must ask what might be a n00bish question. I'm used to playing with servers at work, but windows driven machines. Linux and vps etc, i'm a total n00b. So here goes. I got a seedbox/ vps from ultraseedbox and solusvm is installed on there. However, i've been wanting to try webmin. My question is, would i be able to run webmin and solusvm on the same vps without any trouble?

Yes you can; there are several threads about this on the SolusVM-forums as well. Yet, you might need to do some manual configuring on the listening-ports, binds and such. Personally I never recommend dual/triple management-tools that "could" do the same task on a machine since there is no telling if one might keep a process/config locked and you spend hours troubleshooting the other management-tool. This goes both for Windows and Unix... Example: Hyena to manage a Windows domain-controller 2008R2 = big no no...

Yes, you can. Webadmin has alot more features.

I'm not a unix/linux/vps guru, but I think SolusVM just taps in the virtual machine app they use to create the different VPSs. You can reboot, shutdown, reinstall OS. reset your root passsword, use consol, and look at stats for your vps.

hmm.. i'll have a look in at the forums there and make a decision. Mainly looking into this to get a better view on server management on linux for expanding my work field. And solusvm is quite minimal, i know then client terminal is meant to be that way, would have gone with a dedi and played with that, but i'd much rather go with a managed service for the time being, as i don't have much time with work and school going.

    Thanks for the replies

SolusVM is just for VPS managment. Webmin is web based GUI for system administration tasks.

Cheers mate, i'll definitely do that, as i'd rather not dive in headfirst without any knowledge.
