Thread: Question: Xirvik dedi server and SSH

Hey,

I'm in china. I want to use a SSH account+MyEntunnel (a SSH software)+Firefox to get a different IP. I think the IP should be same with dedi server.

If I buy a Xirvik's dedi server which is configured as a seedbox, can the dedi server also provide a SSH account (service) to me? If the dedi server is configured as "plain server with root", I have to install some softwares myself to get the SSH function, right?

I know xirvik boxes have proxy and vpn options. Why i prefer SSH is some trackers block IPs from china. I want to get a stable, security route to use these trackers. And I also hear that some trackers don't allow members to use proxy. I think SSH is a better solution.

In xirvik website, I can't find info about SSH. I think SSH maybe not the standard and free service. For a dedi server, users have to install something themselves to get SSH function?

are you trying to install an ssh tunnel ?

If you select the 'configure as a seedbox' option you will not have ssh access.

If you go for root access you will need to install everything yourself, though I would imagine that Xirvik will provide scripts for installing torrent clients.

Talk to Xirviks, tell them what you want to do and they will give you your options.
