    Default Whatbox seedbox bittorrents

Ok so I signed up for a Whatbox seedbox flex plan. They only list 3 clients..rtorent,deluge and transmissions. I dont use any of those. I have used utorrent for years since it doesnt take up that many resources....

So my question is really 2 pars
1 is there a way to use utorrent with Whatbox seedbox?

    or

if i switch to say deluge will all my downloaded torrents show up there even though they were downloaded on a different client ?

    Thanks for any help/tips

    1) I don't think it's possible to run utorrent on a seedbox. And anyway, whatbox doesn't allow it.

    2) Yes. Personnally, I use ruTorrent on whatbox.
    a. Gather your torrents (on windows, there are at c:/users/username/AppData/Roaming/uTorrent)
    b. Make sure your webui is not going to download everything right away (cap it or whatever).
    c. Upload the content of the torrents on the server.
    d. Upload the torrent files in the "watch" folder. To be safe, I think it's better to use their http interface (click "files" from your whatbox manage menu). You can just drag&drop the torrent files from your explorer to the web window. Otherwise, you can use rsync. I found FTP/SFTP not that safe for that purpose, but hey, do what you feel.
    e. Connect to your webui and link the torrents to their respective content, then force recheck. If you did everything right, it will show 100% everywhere. Otherwise, it will download the missing parts.

So, there you go, I hope that was a tiny bit helpful.

    LOL
Hum, there can be different reasons why. One thing you can do is make sure the ports are open.
You can test your connectivity by downloading from your home PC something that you are the only one to seed on the seedbox. Make sure you don't use private trackers for that test. (try to create a test torrent on open tracker, then download the file from your home
    PC).

One thing though, if you're on a tracker where it's hard to maintain a ratio, that would be completely normal if you don't upload anything yet.

To give you a feedback on rTorrent with whatbox, the max I was able to download was around 6MB/s, the max upload was about 4-5MB/s. Then again, I'm not always looking at the stats on the webui. ;)

If I'm correct, the share ratio limit, share time ratio and see time are wrong.
Try -1 for all of them (unlimited).

Yep, let us know how that goes. Also, download one recent popular torrent to make sure it gets uploaded.
