Thread: looking for share or buy a simple SSH access (6month/1 year)

hi there, i need a SSH access to use as fast proxy to get rid of my ISP shaping policy.

i don't need disk space, i just need to access once via ftp to setup the PSK thing in order to access WO password.

where do you live? you might want to get a server close to you.

I recommend a LeaseWeb server. You can get a cheap VPS there for just 10€ which should suffice. If you ever want to do something more cpu intensive or higher priority (i think these vps are lowest transit priority, but dont quote me on that), you have to pay more or check out some colocation partner such as rapidspeeds/evoboxes/knowinservers (all the same, take the cheapest offer lol).

you might get even better pings at OVH (FR or UK) (depends on your location), but they tend to be slower on transit overall (bandwidth). server.lu is another pretty solid DC located in LU (duh), though my vote is still on leaseweb.

If you're an US citizen, dont get a EU server unless its for security purposes. You'll get high pings (100ms or more) and unstable speeds. Dunno which DC to recommend there though.

i already shared a ssh access to a seedbox one time was an ovh from france. s

Have you checked out FeralHosting? They have SSH access on Neon boxes and up, very reliable and fast :)

i checked that host and seems pretty good. the point is that their service still include a storage and a rdp access which i dont need. for this reason the price is still high (10£) compared to what i spent last year for a pure ssh access only or when i was splitting a cost by sharing a seedbox access with a friend.
i need to find someone who can offer me that deal
