    Default Seedbox Scams

So, I've been wanted to get a seedbox for a while, but was a afraid of getting scammed. So, I look up a seedbox referrer site, signed up, after they took my money, never heard from them again.

Second company, I heard from here... Had a lot of good reviews for the first six pages of its review or so. So I went with it. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard from them either.

If you can't trust review sites, where do you find a reliable seedbox that wont break your bank, and wont scam you?

If it had a lot of good reviews it clearly is not a scam, so talk to their support, they will probably have an irc channel, so that is your best option, otherwise email them.

I assume you have done the obvious and checked your spam folder for emails from them.

For the first site, they had "Forums" but the they deleted my post, and I sent an email to support and such. Submitted a ticket, ever got confirmation about either.

The second site, I hadn't done for yet. I'm doing so now.

And yes, I checked my spam folder.

Always read the newest reviews. If there's no new reviews then probably the seedbox service is ded already, or isn't taking new orders. Since I'm doing that, I never had any problems. And golden tip - if it's too good to be true then it probably is. XD

you should post the names of these providers so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

the review section here is vary good, this is where i come for any type of seed-box info and if its not here somewhere then i wont even try the provider because if they were any good someone would have reviewed them here.

Before you give anybody your money at least talk to their support. I can only speak for myself, but I have always some questions concerning their plans (Datacenter; users/ server; Bandwidth limit ...) Even if you don't have questions you should contact them to check if they are even responding and how long it takes for them.

Please post the name of the companies, but please keep in mind that sometimes they have also problems with their seller (delivering servers to the DC ...) and not getting an answer for 24 hours isn't a big problem, in my opinion.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

To update: I got word back from the second company. I guess all it took was sending in a a ticket. I have access to the stuff now.

The one who scammed me was Super Seed.

The one who replied, they're slow on getting set up, but not a scam was SeedMonster. (Yeah, I feel bad now for assuming they were a scam after such a short time.)

Glad you got your issue resolve Zallo. One thing to keep in mind, as with anything, if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I deal primarily with Xirvik (for dedi) and FeralHosting (semi-dedi). They have never steered me wrong and their support is OUTSTANDING. Anybody charging less than 15EUR/20USD is probably a bum deal. You get what you pay for with seedboxes. Make sure you are dealing with reputable companies that do not OVERSELL their slots and use good servers and work with companies such as KimSufi/OVH/SwiftLayer/ThePlanet etc... Just some friendly advice mate :)
