Paying 30 euros isn't the end of the world, that if you are working, and that grants you a pretty decent machine. There aren't any traffic limits as in the case of rapishare [you can take 50 GB in a few hours] and it's a God-sent if your ISP limits your p2p traffic, like mine.
Besides you can do much more with a machine connected to the Internet all the time [having a web page, running a private service, play with scripts, even just store some info]
And it's cool owning a piece of hardware in another place on Earth, if you are that sort of person. I was always a ratio enthusiast, actually I bought a new place where to live taking into consideration the possibility to leave my system on all day and night long, but owning a seedbox it's just the elegant approach.
Of course, elegant would be having the possibility to rent movies online for 1$ a day, but until media companies realize that, torrents will do just fine.

I dont know about SCT & SCC, but on BCG it's not a problem keeping a good ratio without a seedbox because of their seedpoint system. You just have to keep a torrent seeding for some time and when that time passes, they give you instant upload to 1.00 ratio.Originally Posted by Danner21

I'm in the seedbox business therefore I'm biased, but 2.66 Gb a day, which is 80 Gb a month, is a joke for any seedbox.
7 euros for 80 Gb is not a good deal. We (Xirvik) give you unlimited traffic for less than 15 euros.
Anyway, having a seedbox, lots of accounts in torrent sites, downloading more that one could ever use, is a hobby. As such, it cost a little. Of course you can live without a seedbox
By the way: I see people getting the fastest speed possible from their ISP so they can seed a little faster. For example, 50 Mbit/s down, 1 Mbit/s up for 60 euros/month, while the regular option, which is 6 Mbit/s down, 300 kb/up is just 20 euros.
Believe me, 6 Mbit/s down when you have a seedbox doing all the heavy lifting is A LOT. You will get more with 6 Mbit and a decent seedbox than you would with 50 Mbit alone, and the total price is cheaper.
Just my opinion
You must have a seedbox to be a stable user of some privates trackers, like ScL, ScT or FTN. So it´s necessary and nowadays it´s easy to find some cheap & reliable seedboxes & dedicated servers.
I got a seedbox just out of curiosity and now that I see the insane speeds that I can d/l and u/l with I cant see myself without one. I got mine this month and its nothing to seed 100+ gigs in a day on a good torrent full of leeches.
Yes, they are necessary for sites such as ScL and What.cd...it's hard to seed at these sites for me.
True, but with the changes with rapidshare downloading 2GB a day? for the same price that I can upload 5TB in a month from a seedbox. I don't see a big deal they are fairly cheap.
If u have good Speed then there is no need of seedbox but it depends on u if u have money but lack of time then u can buy seedbox to maintain good ratio. Right.
and free seedbox is not possible to get and if possible please pm me.
