for me seedbox is crucial as here in aus my ISP is the most reliable but they charge for uploads so it effects me majorly.
It's their way to stop piracy.
It depends on your situation, but for the most part, you can get by with even the slowest home connection.
Here are the benefits:
- Lightning fast uploads (TBs per month)
- Doesn't slow down your home connection
- Limits home traffic (esp important for ISPs that have monthly traffic caps or charge by the gb)
- Added security from hackers & RIAA groups (esp with box in different country)
- Box you can use for other purposes (FTP files to work or friends, remote backup of data, stream music, etc)
- Immunity from tracker bans. Publicly giving invites away is against the rules on most sites
- Plus its just plain cool having a 100mb pipe at your disposal.... ;-)
You never really need one, just if you want boost your upload, and for all the reasons above. I've gotten by with a simple home connection. The thing with that is you have to leave your computer on all the time if you want to be able to seed. Can be inconvenient, but it works.
I have a seedbox and it works great :)
I think seedboxes are the way to go because it helps with the torrenting (is that even a word) community. The more seeders/seedboxes the faster we get our stuff
Seedbox is the ze best. When i download a movie when the download is finsihed i already have a ratio 2 on it. And if i wait 15 more minutes a ratio of 4 :)
Uhh
i don't think except for few sites
as bitmetv
In tracker like SCT BCG and SCC its not only need more essential, if you dont have a seedbox You will certainly be baned...
