They may not be necessary, but they are certainly helpful. I have uploaded 600GB+ over the last 4-5 days with my seedbox. its amazing how good they are considering my upload speed is only 100kbp/s

We disenfranchise the proletariat when we pay increasingly exorbitant fees and taxes to corporate ISP's to access the internet at the higher speeds, support unjust wars, lobby and donate to politicians who vote against our self-interests . I would think that "stickin' it to the Man", by mass file-sharing would be more aligned with the common man's desires.

Cheap seedbox servers are usually not-only run by smaller local companies (OVH excluded, but even then) but on the reseller-seedbox level, MOST are run by like minded file-sharing entrepreneurs who want to make some money but also enjoy working and sharing with pirates on that level. Ask any good reseller, they'll tell you.

By uploading and downloading huge amounts of files (especially media) through a mega-pipe and dedicated server, you not only undercut the huge corporate ISPs and media conglomerates, but it is the very essence of P2P sharing.

With a seedbox, after the initial excitement is over, the worry of how you'll survive on private trackers will be gone, and you'll start to realize what it all is REALLY about: community and sharing. Like the household, once the worries of survival are gone, the chances of allowing love and giving are increased 10 fold. You'll learn quickly that most trackers are pretty much the same, but it's the people, the knowledge and the giving back that are what this game is about. Everybody wants into F*N as some goal, but the torrents aren't anything special. But checkout the forums and meet some of the people. You'll see.

You'll learn hat it's not about what you can get, cause now with a server you can get what you want, and fast. It's about what you can give, what you can learn and what you can give, seriously.

The opportunity to be personal can't be greater investing in a seedbox. Sharing, for the common good. Those are the ideas that Marx founded socialism on. But always they are twisted when people seek to find ways just to take and not give back..

    What's a more personal connection?
