    Default Stay away from Omegabox.me!

I have just had a vps gbit box at omegabox. I have been getting much lower speeds than what they promised me, I was promised upload speeds at least 20 mb/s and up to 70 mb/s. I have gotten overall upload speed 1-5 mb/s, it is really not good enough for a gbps box, and I have very good torrents running. I have also been running another seedbox at the same time with same file to check speeds... download speeds at omegabox is very good, but it is upload speed that is most important to me and also many others... I am also very disappointed bu support, most of them at irc support is very unprofessional and rude, and bck is the worst, he should never be at support... I am fed up with bad speeds and they treat me rude, so I have made a dispute with paypal to get a refund... ( they also kicked me off irc and banned me just because I am complaining, it is my right to complain as a customer when I am not happy).

We expected your review. I will post a rebutle in return.

Client first came to OmegaBox looking for a trial. OmegaBox does not offer trials. We made an exception for him, and gave him a 15-day subscription (something we do not typically do). I told the client if he was still not satisfied with the performance, we would offer him 3 days for a full refund, no questions asked.

The client then asked to put an additional user on our smallest VPS. These VPS are designed for a single user and the hardware requirements for two users would be significantly more. We advised him this was not a good idea.

He did not know how to set up multiple users, so despite us informing him it was not a great idea, we added this second user. The client then proceeded to repeatedly claim poor speeds. I brought in other clients (on the same server, with the same VPS setup) to inform him that speeds are excellent. We have vnstat running on every server and by monitoring the statistics we know what the servers and connections are capable of.

With every support ticket, we investigate the issue at hand. The user was using lesser known trackers, some norwegian trackers I was unaware existed. We informed the user of bittorrent protocol and cited an article regarding this. The server he was located on was located in France.

We then again set out to satisy our customer by moving him to a server located in the Evoswitch network (ideal for peering). He continued to open support ticket after support ticket. The client flooded our IRC support channel on multiple occasions. The totals are as follows: 26 support tickets open (all of them answered) and 328 lines posted in IRC. OmegaBox became increasingly aware that there was no resolution that would meet this customer's expectations. I have been in sales for 10 years, and sometimes it comes down to excising the client.

I am sorry you experience wasn't what you expected, but it comes down to knowing how to use a seedbox/server properly to utilize it correctly. Instead of learning from the resources and advice we had given you, you blamed our company. We are now well over 50 clients, including a multitude of servers. You are the first. As a business you will never be 100% successful with every client, we realize this.

Bullshit! I did not flood the irc support channel, I have others that can support me on this. You are not a good provider, your speeds are way lower than other seedbox providers! And your support is way too bad... Any new customer, be my guest, try their services don't say I did not warn you..

I opened many support tickets, that is a fact, because I got no responds, and had way too many problems, the seedbox was really a pain in the ass... look forward to try another provider...

And you talk about less known trackers, I use HDbits, HD-torrents, Norbits, HDME.eu, bitmetv, HD-Space and others... stop making excuses...

    I have posted my rebuttal.

We have only 4 users on the box you first were on. This is a dedicated 1Gbps line. At this moment the longest ticket before being reviewed by staff is 1 hour and 16 mins. The tickets you mentioned posting addressed the same issue over and over. Example: "box is down... plz fix", followed 21 mins later "Box is down fix now". This was repeated 4 times and was answered within the hour the original ticket was posted.

According to site and bot logs you posted 328 lines in just 3 days. We first asked you to kindly turn it down a notch. You did not. Our clients thought you were unreasonable and to allow you to this reflected poorly on our company. We also asked you multiple times not to PM staff. Today, alone, you PM'd my ZNC 24 different lines.

Another staff member was able to track down multiple torrents on the box. One torrent that you had specifically pointed out that had more seeders then leechers. Yet, you were not satisfied with speeds. I can not reiterate enough, that you must learn how to use a seedbox before placing blame on a company, and then trying to publicly smear them.

Today is a Sunday. A day that is typically not on most people work schedules. We have been working tirelessly with you since 9am this morning. As the owner, I have reviewed BCK's performance and he addressed the situation as professionally as possibly. You tried to smear our business in a public channel, and even our other clients told you multiple times that what you were doing was wrong. They advised you that there speeds were nothing short of excellent, and something was wrong with how you were using the box.

According, to your last ticket filed... You plan on using this thread as blackmail for a better server.

I will list the following things we have done to try and meet your expectations:

    1. Answered 26 separate support tickets
    2. Allowed the client to berate staff in public channels
    3. Made an exception on a 15-day subscription (with our summer promotion discount)
    4. Moved the client to a seperate server, in a seperate datacenter.
    5. Responded to IRC channel abuse

It was your own impatience that has led to your frustration, and the sole reason we will no longer be continuing your service. The time you have paid for will continue, but at the end of your billing period, it would be in the best interest for yourself and my company to go separate ways. I wish you luck on your future, I hope you find a provider that can meet all your demands. We, however, no longer will be doing so.

I have said what I want to say... and I have warned other potential buyers...stay away from this company, their speeds sucks, especially upload speeds, and the support is so bad it is unbelievable... I could post some things bck at support wrote to me, but no....take my word for it, you don't want a seedbox at omegabox.me, there are a lot of other providers out there :)

Also? the time I have paid for will continue? I can not connect to the box anymore, so why are you saying this?

I was unaware of the conversation you had with one of our staff members. My apologies, I was unaware that this problem had escalated to where OmegaBox had to take these steps. He had the box removed, and initiated a refund for the remainder of the time. Apparently, you threatened multiple staff and used this as leverage for a better server or more money.

You say we have sub-par servers, terrible support, and an awful company - yet, you want a larger server.

We have informed paypal of your abusive nature and provided screen shots of our support channel and client area. We have also provided documentation of these threats and blackmail leverage.

So I will get a refund for the remainder of the time? I have not threathened staff, I am not that kind of person, it was staff bck threathening me, and I told him he could stop threathening me. I wish to see those so called documentation of threats...

We have addressed this situation through paypal. We are much more comfortable with them handling the situation.

Seriously? You opened 26 tickets on Sunday which is a day that most of the companies don't offer support?
