Thread: Stay away from Omegabox.me!

? I opened one ticket today as far as I remember? two at most if I have forgotten something... please post your proofs of me opening 26 tiickets?
I have opened a lot of tickets the last days, and it is beacause it has been a lot of problems with the box all the time, the speeds have been slow, the box has stopped working etc etc...

Why so much hate against omegabox? You could have simply post a review in the proper section with some proofs to backup your arguments but all i see here is a nerdrage. This really doesn't help.

I have not hate against omegabox. I just wanted a good seedbox, and I hoped omegabox would be it. But it was a very disappointing experience, slow speeds and the box down very often, and bad support...
It seemed it was when I tested a file at the same time at omegabox and feral, and reported I got much better speeds at feral that made them ban me and cancel my box... 1 mb/s upload at omegabox and 4 mb/s upload at feral, the file started exactly the same time. Then they claimed it was about where feral hosted the server... only excuses and more excuses from omegabox...my advise is stay away, it is your choice...

You may have had a bad experience but dwelling on it here, with this back and forth, isn't very helpful. Especially considering neither side is substantiating their claims, so now we're just confused and have no idea who to believe. So it might be better to just close the thread and let it end here.

Your Feral slot is 1 Gbps hosted with OVH?

I have heard a lot of good things about Omega box, and this is the first negative report I have seen, so will ignore it.

Also if you are going to compare one provider with another, you need to provide details on the server, the client you are using, and how you have configured the client. If you are getting fast download then the connection is there, so poor upload speed is down to either the torrent swarm, or the configuration, and unless you have really messed up the config, it is most likely down to the swarm.

Well, try them out if you don't believe me, I am quite confident more bad reviews will follow soon, cause they have bad upload speed and bad support... I even tested two different servers cause they moved me, one I was moved to had even worse upload speed than the first, upload at 1-2 mb/s is quite common with good torrents... ans this is supposed to be gbit box and they claim to have only 6-8 users on the server...well...
