Default suggestions for a seedbox that's less technical

i've used seedboxes that require alot of setup and configuration (feral, evo) and then some that you can use immediately (seedunlimited). With the "out of the box" approach, you lose features, capabilities - but sometimes that's ok. Are there other vendors that provide seedboxes that are very user friendly? that is - that everything can be formed from either a menu, or a screen of choices like seedunlimited?

What is the complex thing in Feral? I mean, what did you try to do that gave you a hard time?

I would suggest useed. Very simple setup. But i guess that's because you only get ruTorrent & FTP access so its not exactly feature rich. Even for a relative noob getting setup was a breeze. All you do is select the hdd size and speed you want sign up and within a few minutes they give you the rutorrent and ftp access details. Everything comes preinstalled.

Xirvik is also pretty easy as long as you don't go for a dedi with root, you get a pretty basic control panel although it does more or less everything you'd need for just a seedbox and then just FTP, Proxy and torrents (you get 4 different rtorrent frontends including rutorrent) to worry about. No real setup required, you could just login and go :)

xirvik is very good for 'out of the box' solution. As the previous poster said you get everything you need, with a choice of frontends, and the performance is very good.

You do not have ssh access at all though, root or otherwise, so it is a case of you get what you get.

I'd suggest bytesized-hosting.com, it's ready to go with your choice of clients, WebUI's, a good control panel, and unlimited torrents. It also supports ssh, root access, sftp, ssl-tunneling, openVPN, 100Mb, and VNC.

Bytesized has all the features needed in a box. It's a real shame that they offer only 100 Mbit lines...

What kind of simplicity do you need? I find Feral perfect (plus their prices are amazing) if you need help with Feral feel free to ask me!
