    Default Seedbox safety

    So I'm not a total noob to Seedboxes, but I'm not an expert either. My friend and I have been sharing a seedbox but now I want my own. Has anyone here ever had a notice still get sent to them when using a seedbox? Has anyone here ever been caught for using one? If so, which providers are the least safe?



    Right now I'm stuck between feral and bytesized as they are both inexpensive and both support Transmission. (I'm not proficient at all with rTorrent and ruTorrent.)

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

    I have not gotten a notice, i've only been using seedboxes for like 9 months, but i've been using public and private trackers. I've ran without an IP blacklist too.

    In all honesty, if you can stay away from public trackers, you should be fine. Think I've done well over 400TB since I started using seedboxes (private trackers only) and never gotten in trouble. Also, you might wanna look into ruTorrent; almost everyone "knows" the old 1.8.x-branch of uTorrent (Windows) and ruTorrent works 99% the same. And with enough plugins installed, you can do so much more with it as well.

    Most seedbox-companies not only provide SSL-logon to the interface but usually SFTP as well; the odds of anyone intercepting transmission between your home-connection and seedbox are very slim. And with a good IPfilter on the seedbox, there should be no worry.
