Thread: Which seedbox for me - easy to setup/use, good for use while travelling

Hi friends,

I am new to the world of torrents and brand new to the world of torrents. I spend most of the time in a a major city in India, where I have a run of the mill broadband connection, I have not done a speed test, but the plan describes itself as a 1MBPS plan.

HOWEVER, I also spend time travelling internationally, mostly USA, where the internet speeds are quicker.



I am primarily looking to d/l adult entertainment (porn :)), Hollywood and Bollywood movies and music. I am not much into gaming.

Which seedbox would you recommend? I am not looking to go deep into programming and stuff, something simple to setup and use?

I can pay upto $75 a month. I prefer something with monthly billing that I can cancel in any given month.

Any seedbox does all of this, for the most part. What kind of speed are you looking at wanting?

I typically have slower speeds with my ISP, as I am either in India or in hotels internationally. Thus, I am looking for a seedbox with good speeds between the tracker/seedbox as well as good speeds for me to download the files to my computer? Does this make sense. Faster the better I guess :) Anything that can hedge my slow ISP speeds.

You should be fine with most any seedbox as far as connection to the trackers. I would recommend just going to different seedbox providers websites and see if they have speedtests so that you can test the connection between their server and your ISP to see which one is the fastest.

rtorrent and TorrentFlux are different torrent clients that are pre-installed to use, sometimes you can have different clients depending on your needs, just ask the seedbox staff. There's a lot of good tutorials out there to dig through, check some of these out:
