Maybe, most of yours, have installed Ubuntu 10.04 or other version in neighboring partition with Windows 7.
If you delete Linux partition, boot loader will fail and it require disc to re-install it (command called grub> that appear on black screen like as command prompt).
Or,is boring to choose every time the loader from the list. The list contain 4 options (if you've installed Ubuntu without swap memory space) or 8 (with swap memory space) but at bottom are Windows 7 Loader.
So, there is two ways to make Windows 7 as default loader.
1st way - With Windows 7 DVD
a) insert disc into computer and boot from it like as :
b) set keyboard settings and other few configurations like :
c) in the window where appear Install Now, in left corner you have Repair your computer
d) wait for discover the partition where Windows was installed
e) will appear this partition with Windows installed
f) from list , choose Command Prompt like :
g) in the console, please write these codes :
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
after that :
bootrec.exe /fixboot
and the last :
exit
h) restart the computer
i) now you will see that the default loader is Windows and will load as normally
If you want, delete partition using software or Windows 7 DVD
2nd way - Without Windows 7 DVD
a) befoare boot up the Windows Loader, press quickly F8
b) from the list choose Repair your computer
c) now follow step b) from 1st way (there are same steps with one different: no Windows 7 DVD required)
after restart you'll see that Windows 7 loader is default
