1. Click somewhere on your Desktop with the right-button of your mouse.
2. Look for 'New..' and click on 'Shortcut'.
3. A Windows will popup and which will ask you to enter the destination of your file.
4. Press the search button (next to the white input bar) and enter
C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe
and click on 'next'.
5. Give your Shortcut a name, like Shutdown01 or whatever you like and press 'Done'.
6. Now you will see a pre-named file on your desktop.
7. Choose the File by clicking your right mouse button and go now to the last item of the context-menu called 'Properties'. Click on it.
There should be two points, one called 'shortcut' and another called 'target'. Just check the target-bar there should be now this:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe
8. Now you have to add this at the end of the target-bar:
Just copy N'paste this, because there is always a space between every value.
What do this values mean ?
-s = Command to shutdown Windows
-f = Command to shutdown all active/open windows
-t = define the countdown time in seconds, after the shortcut is clicked.
So,the value 60 means 1min-Shutdowntime, 600 means 10mins, 3600 means 1 hour and so on.
You can choose the value which you like.
Just Double-Click your shortcut and a nice windows built-in timer will popup and do the rest for you.
Done.
