Default Advanced screenshot techniques for Mac OS X

Hey fellow mac users, did you know that in OS X there are lots of helpful shortcuts to take screenshots? Heres how:

    • Command-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it as a file on the desktop
    • Command-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file on the desktop
    • Command-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it as a file on the desktop
    • Command-Control-Shift-3: Take a screenshot of the screen, and save it to the clipboard
    • Command-Control-Shift-4, then select an area: Take a screenshot of an area and save it to the clipboard
    • Command-Control-Shift-4, then space, then click a window: Take a screenshot of a window and save it to the clipboard

Command-Shift-4 is very helpful when taking screenshots of ratio proofs or when doing tracker reviews. Just press those keys and drag the area you want. This way there's no need to crop in photoshop. For example I took this screenshot with commannd-shift-4:
    I hope this was helpful

I knew Command-Shift-3 and Command-Shift-4, but that's pretty useful to know! It's far more precise to select a window than to try to select the exact area around the window! Thank you for those tips!
