Thread: Picture tutorial how to unlock any windows password xp/vista/2003/2008

This is the 4th way how to reset forgotten windows administrator password.
If you check the forum you'll know why.

4. Reset windows admin password using Offline NT Password & Registry Editor
This should be the fastest and easiest way to do it. Iso image is only about 3 MB.

You don't have to download whole cd with lots of other utilites when you need just to reset the password!

1. Go to Offline NT Password & Registry Editor and download the boot disk.
Direct link of 3 MB ISO http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/cd080802.zip
2. Use any free burning software that can burn iso images. My prefered one is IMGBURN. Download here The Official ImgBurn Website

3. Use the burned CD to boot into the live version of the OS





Just press enter :)

4. Select windows system partiton (candidate partition)



Now you have to select your system - candidate windows partiton. My virtual machine has only one disk as you can see, so this choice is obvious. Select n. 1 and press enter.

5. Now you have to select path to the registry directory.

This one is easy as well. Just press enter
(you can have some trouble only if you have installed windows in different directory than default. In this case you'll have to modify the path. )



6. Select the password reset option - select 1 and enter



7. Select Edit user data and passwords - select 1 and enter



8. Write the name of the account that you want to reset or change password



We have selected administrator

9. Clear password or edit password



Here we have selected option 2 - edit password

10. Write new password



Our new password will be "torrentinvites"



To return to the previous menu write ! and press enter

11. Qutting and saving changes (return to menu)



Select q to quit.



Select y to write the changes.

12. Exitting

Now press n because you don't want to change anything else.

After this just press ctrl + alt +delte. After booting your system use the new password.
