Default Boost UPLOAD Speed in 1 sec(Vista and XP SP3 only)

    Reason for slow uploads:
    Microsoft has restricted
maximum number of concurrent half-open outbound TCP connections (connection attempts) in the Windows system file tcpip.sys.

This limit makes it impossible for Windows systems to have more than 10 concurrent half-open outbound connections. After 10, new connection attempts are put in a queue and forced to wait. Microsoft first introduced this limit in Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2) and is present in later versions of Windows. This was done to try to slow the spreading of viruses and malware from system to system and also to reduce the impact of infected systems participating in DoS (Denial of Service) attacks.

Solution: We have to change half open connections to 50 or 100

HOW?: Download a patch that patches tcip.sys. You can find it allover the internet

    OR Download Patcher from here
: Half-open limit fix (patch) for Windows - Download

You will have to reboot system for this. If you have any doubts regarding this please feel free to ask.

Also above may sound quite technical to you but its damn easy.. You hust go through the link I have given.

    A. Vista SP2 no longer has this restriction.
    B. This takes much longer than "1 sec"
    C. I think everyone already knew this.

I didn't notice this problem is Vista SP2 (as reported) and/or XP SP3, my speeds were quicker in Vista SP2 but not by much. I'm not sure that XP SP3 is as affected as Windows < XP SP3.

A good trick nonetheless though, as there ARE people unaware of these issues. Nice post :)
