    Default Simple WinXP Login Bypass

This works on Home Edition maybe 1/2 the time and sometimes on other editions, but it's always worth a try. I find it really funny when it works.

On the login screen just tap ctrl-alt-delete twice. This will bring you to a login where you can type the username and password. Type Administrator for the user and leave the password field blank, then login. If it works you'll be logged into windows with full administration rights.

This works because some companies leave a hidden Administrator account with no password so tech support can easily use your computer, or after tech support fixes your computer they just leave their account on.

I've tried this on my only xp computer and it works perfectly. Didn't work on some other computers at my friends houses though. One of them was a government issued laptop, so I didn't really expect much. I'm interested to see which computers it works on.

This happens when the person sets up Windows XP without providing any password. Its quite common. Non tech savvy people would usually leave the password blank without realizing. In my other system, I added a password during the setup installation prompt. I am not sure if the same prompt appears on the Home Edition compared to the Professional edition.

I remember seeing a copy of the German police forces' Windows XP CD. If the screensaver had a lock (needs password when woken) you could insert the CD and it would bypass it. But it could hack through the log on screen anyways. Either way, a nice ticket to accessing a computer without doing much work.
