Great Tip - can't understand why Microsoft has so many Services that don't seem to serve any useful purpose except slow your machine down !!
I always knew there was a bunch of services that were not needed, it's nice to have a list of them all in one place.
Has anybody had any trouble after disabling any of these services?
It's amazing how important Windows can make some of these sound when you don't even need them for your computer to function.
Never knew about this. Thanks
Thanks, judging by the descriptions of some of those services I don't think that I have ever used them and yet I've had them running for years.
go to your search bar, type msconfig
click the services tab
uncheck boxes of stuff you don't want to run.
also, you can do the same for apps like steam or the openoffice preloader or whatever under the startup tab.
note that next startup, you will have a box pop up that says something like "the startup has been modified" or whatever, just click dont show this message anymore.
