    Default 8bit/Chiptune

    Any 8bit fans?

For those who don't know what 8bit is, it's basically the music that you would hear in old-school video games. Most often made with a Gameboy, LSDJ, Nanoloop, Famitracker.

This is one of my favorite sites, has thousands of beautiful chiptune songs. Their Most-Liked music chart is updated every week & you can download just about any song.

Some of my favorite songs on the site:

Simple Pleasures | 8bc - Online Chiptune Media Sharing

EPIK HIGH | 8bc - Online Chiptune Media Sharing

Yup, I love chiptunes! As do loads of people at uni. I've been trying to learn the craft, but I'm loads better at conventional music notation.

Yes, it is an acquired skill being able to write chiptune music. Famitracker is fairly easy to use, but lsdj and nanoloop require talent+tons of time.

Yeah, I like chiptune as well. Anamanaguchi and Spamtron are a couple of my favorites. Chiptune music puts me in a good mood, lol.

Participated in a few Famicompo contests under a secret alias. Honestly, it's very easy to track chip music, I'm just too impatient to do it on the regular.

Sounds like a cool genre! I'll look in to it, thanks.

I remember reading about Dubmood a while back; he does chiptunes as well, right?

Yes, Dubmood is very well known, he's got a bunch of albums out there, much like Psilodump, Yerzmyey, Sabrepulse.

Yeah, I checked out his music.
    Very catchy beats!

Edit: Also checked your recommendations. Great songs, and Simple Pleasures is AMAZING!

If you're into this genre, check out the FMA's collection:

    Free Music Archive: Chip Music

900+ tracks, many of them awesome.
