Default What was the first CD you ever bought and why?

Like the title says I wish to know what was the first CD you bought and why (provided you can remember that is).

I may not be as old as shadowbuild........ (runs and hides) but I remember my vast collection of vinyl and cassette tapes.

The first CD that I bought was the original soundtrack for "The Crow" reason being was because this at that time and still to this day is my favorite movie of all time.

I remember debating on whether I should buy the CD or cassette tape because at the time the price difference was like $3.00 (CD $11.99 Cassette $8.99). Funny thing about it though was I did not own a CD player at the time. Wasn't til later that year before I could actually play it.

My first CD was Kid Rock. O man that was back in like 1998. I went to the stor with my older bro and droped it in his cart and gave him the money and he actually bought it for me lol. I was like in 5th grade at the time so it was a big deal for me.

My first CD was in Jazz - Vocal gerne. It's Emi Fujita - Camomile Best
I have listened to this CD again and again. Her voice is too sweet and can warm your broken soul. If you haven't heard about Emi Fujita yet, google her name and you'll find out one of the most beautiful voices of the world

My first was a tape of Michael Jackson's "Invincible" album. Ah... the nostalgia... thanks, Enigma.

Astro Creep: 2000, by White Zombie was the first album I purchased with my own money in 1996, I was 12. As to why? I'm not exactly sure, but it was probably something along the lines that I wanted music that was completely different than all the Classic Rock I had been raised on and I wanted something that would completely piss of my parents.

The first cd that i bought was "The Eminem Show" like 8 years ago. I found it accidentaly while browsing the cds in the music store and the real reason why i bought it was the "parental advisory, explicit content" tag. I was really curious to see what the cd was all about :D

My first album given to me by my sister when I was 10 was The Best of Scorpions (1978)
Few months after that my first album i bought at the age of 10 was Sailing the Seas of Cheese - Primus (1991). Why? Cause the cover was freaking awsome. And the music was to :) And Tom waits sang one song. At that time I was starting to listen to him :)

I still have a huge collection of cassettes at my house, but i'm not listening to a great majority of them anymore. Even though i have great music there too
The first CD i bought was a long long time ago, when i was like 12 or something It was Out of time by R.E.M.
I bought it because my uncle, who is also a huge music fan, adviced me to do. Though i didn't know much about this band at that time, i actually enjoyed the album and later it became one of my favourite bands :001_tongue:
