Rothbury Music Festival in Michigan in 08 and 09 was incredible, I loved Bonnaroo but it didn't even come close to what Rothbury brought to the table (Sherwood Forest!!!!).
If we are talking just venues though, 10KLF in Minnesota has a really beautiful spot with an indoor bar stage and real bathrooms in the venue!
This year I was only make it to All Good Festival in West Virginia which always delivers and has yet to dissapoint me!
In 2009 I came home on leave and a friend and I went to OZZ-FEST to see BLACK SABBATH and other great bands like Deftones, Primus, Static-X, Slayer, and Rob Zombie to name a few. It was one of the greatest 12 hours of my life. The best part was meeting Wayne Static, as I didn't even know who he was at the time.
Static-X was still fairly new and they were not even playing on the main stage at the time. Wayne was actually wearing a Deftones jacket and inside the gate messing with some equipment boxes when we first saw him. There were some other Ozz-Fest patrons having him signing things, so I figured he was with Deftones in some way and had him sign my ticket stub. He was very cool and even talked to my friend and I for a bit talking about the festival and music. Not once did he mention what band he was in nor did we insult him by asking. However, when Deftones played on the main stage we didn't even see him, so we assumed we just got played by some groupie of theirs, but we later went to the second stage and there he was cranking away on vocals, Wayne Static of Static-X. Wow! We were blown away and have been fans of them ever since.
Thanx,

Rothbury 09 was incredible! Dylan, Willie Nelson, Yonder, Toots & Maytals...that was just the last day!
RIP 10KLF. I was there for the last five years; unfortunately they just couldn't book big enough bands to beat out the competition. There are so many festivals these days...
Before I forget, I'd like to send a big F*ck you to all the nitrous heads out there...you are ruining our festivals...

Bonnaroo- I've gone the past three years, and every year has been awesome.
Roskilde Festival - Denmark.
I've been there 7 of the past 10 years. I like it because of the great friendly atmosphere and usually they have a very good lineup.
