    Anyone use Last.fm?

Using a music recommender system called "Audioscrobbler", Last.fm builds a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording details of all the songs the user listens to, either on the streamed radio stations, or the user's computer or many portable music devices. This information is transferred to Last.fm's database ("scrobbled") via a plugin installed into the user's music player. The profile data is then displayed on the user's profile page. The site offers numerous social networking features and can recommend and play artists similar to the user's favourites.
Users can create custom radio stations and playlists from any of the audio tracks in Last.fm's music library, and are able to listen to some individual tracks on demand, or download tracks if the rights holder has previously authorised it.
It's good stuff. Feel free to post your name, maybe we could even have a T-I group?

posted in another music thread about last fm: Need recommendations for good electronica/techno music...

It is a good music radio with more than 7 million songs, but there are some problems.
For very much country's the service is not free u have to pay 3€/3$ (strange cuz 3€ is more) each month.
last.fm is free for people who living in:
    VS, UK or Germany.
but there is a way to avoid paying:
I will post this in soon but first i want to know if it is allowed to post cuz i dont know if it is legal.
so plz could a moderator post if it is allowed?

    ahhh boo

I didn't know it was something that actually had to be paid for outside of some countries. Do you have to pay to just keep track of your "listens" and not stream? I use it mainly to find new and interesting music.
