Thread: What Musical Genre Do You Loathe...AND WHY?!

i loathe heavy metal.. too much noise!!!

Rap makes so much sense.

I listen only to Dubstep atm, and I freakin love it. Mostly because its rly big but still underground. I bet not many ppl on here know what it is or have even heard of it and thats what I like about it.

Rap, hate it.
It's so, monotonous (similar to how anyone else who said Rap, said pretty much the same thing).
The lyrics make no sense.
And t takes no talent whatsoever.

Hate is a strong word so if you´re gonna hate a whole genre I think you need to be able to back it up. For example, I´m not in any way a fan of Country music but the odd Johnny Cash track is fine.
Pop music hurts my brain too but every once in a while there´ll be a song I wont change channel on while driving.

The best way I ever heard it put was: "insert genre here" music is like a toiletbowl - all the $hit floats to the top, you´ll have to go a bit deeper to find anything you´d want to swim in.

@ Terrence - Love your avatar. Have you seen him live? Twice here, in Sydney, he played at Stereosonic Music Festival and also did a smaller more private show @ the Metro in Sydney. Absolutely amazing music producer.

My ultimate love is for electronic music. There are so many genres, it is unbelievable. Most non followers know it solely as "techno" music, or doof doof!

It is the most amazing new style of music, that is forever changing. Utilising the latest in technology, these new fashioned music genres are born and made famous for all to love.

Some of my absolute favourite genres include:
Trance (hard, progressive, uplifting)
Hard House (hard dance, hardstyle)
Electro
Minimal/Tech House

Long live electronic music!
