Yes I am! But I don't have too much many to spend on audio equipment.
I currently have Logitech z523 speakers and I love it.
If you don't have an expensive (costing at least a couple of thousands) audio equipment then you're certainly NOT an audiophile. Audiophile listens to BOTH music and equipment, spends a lot of money on it.
I personally am not an audiophile, due to reasons mentioned above.
Absolutely not! You're describing a music lover. Someone who would be described as meloman in Polish or Musikliebhaber / Musikfreund in German. An audiophile is simply another term for gearphile, and it means exactly the same thing - a person that wants to have the best quality of music no matter the cost - it's mainly about money, as people that have cheap (costing less than let's say a couple of thousands dollars) audio equipment can not call themselves audiophiles - they simple aren't.I have to disagree. Your describing a gearphile. A true audiophile is into the audio no matter the system.
i would say kinda, i mean my equipment isnt expensive, but i do always adjust and make changes to sound i love to watch movies and listen to music
I think i'm audiophile but i don't have a big audio system
I m trying these days.
Using a Vintage Luxman amp, a Thorens TD 166 turntable, and a pair of custom made 100W speakers.
Playing digital music through an old laptop, with an external 24/96Khz Soundblaster Extigy.
Its the best I could do with a virtually nonexistant budget, as that stuff was given/lent to me!
Still, when I compare the sound quality of my "stereo" to my creative 6.1 computer speakers and on board sound card, the difference is evident.
Not really. I have a small collection of loss less and a pair of sennheisers...
Not I. I use an iPod and subpar speakers. I put more emphasis on the music, songwriting, etc. I'd rather spend my money on a nice guitar or new amp
