Hookline, have you ever seen parents throwing there infants in the air and catch them, this is very dangerous, parents do it cuz they know they can catch them, he didn't dangle the baby he held tightly on to the baby... honestly anyone who thinks he intentionally tried to harm the baby is ridiculous ..

Hookline I know your entitled to your own opinion but whether he would have died 10 years ago, yesterday or 10 years from now no one had done the things he had done as an artist. as many records as he sold, as many #1 hits he sold, anything that man did in music he excelled. Now when it came to the dumb allegations of him he was NEVER found guilty. You say it was not a sign of a stable mind, watch his last real interview with Geraldo he spoke about his children, He loved his children, and he would not let anything happen to them. Did you ever see him exploit them like many other stars do nope he didnt. He is a legend and always will be. That is my opinion

Of course he was/is/always will be a legend. The guy's career spanned generations, his music transcended cultures, languages, races, you name it. He was a true entertainer. There will never be another like him.

I don't see how this is really debatable. He IS a legend whether we think so or not, if not for his career, his career and his lifestyle.

Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. There's no two ways about that, dude. It's crazy how people (kids and adults) still listen to his music. I'll never forget the first time I watched the moonwalk as my jaw dropped to the floor.

    RIP Michael

He is one of a kind, the definition of "talent and pure genius" if you can coin up these two terms, thereby I feel that your poll doesn't do justice to his legacy.

He was never guilty of child molesting, the only mistake he ever made was to freely let any kid roam around in his Neverland ranch and some greedy people took advantage of that.

He will always remain an inspiration/ true hero at least from my perspective, Rest in Peace MJ.

Forget his personal life. Remember his career, his music.

"Hookline, have you ever seen parents throwing there infants in the air and catch them, this is very dangerous, parents do it cuz they know they can catch them, he didn't dangle the baby he held tightly on to the baby... "

No this is very different, firstly proud parents don't normally drape a towel/blanket over there heads whillst they are doing this ....... It was just one of many inconsistencies in his behavior ...........

"...........watch his last real interview with Geraldo he spoke about his children, He loved his children, and he would not let anything happen to them. Did you ever see him exploit them like many other stars do nope he didnt."

Have you seen the Martin Bashire documentery? (albeit is a seemingly predudiced view). I would also put the view that taking about your childeren in Geraldo is in some small way exploiting them!

He may well have been a genius and changed the face of music, but that happened with the "Thriller" album after that his his mental stability, seemed to deteriorate ....... and that's when I stopped buying his music so in my opinion he would have been a legend if he had departed in 1989, hence my comment.

Now The "Legend" is simply a bandwagon that people, and the same stars and press that condemmed him in 2005 during his trial and shunned him afterwards, are now bending over backwards to praise him and say how much of a "genius" and "legend" he was. It makes me sick .........

I felt the same way about him when he was alive and now that he has passed away I am not going to go singing his praises.

I note that there was not a single Michael jackson Thread on the site till he died, however there were several mentions of him in the best artists in the 80s, and a few posts in a jokes thread. (proves my point I think).

I hope he is at last at peace!
