Hey everybody, music afficionados may have heard recently that the lead singer of Kings of Leon abruptly walked off stage at a Dallas concert in sweltering heat. Caleb Followill, lead singer, walked off the stage because he said his voice was completely shot. Kings of Leon re-scheduled their Texas dates for September but later cancelled those dates as well. Apparently, the band is going through some tumult right now and the 'lost voice' was just a reasonable excuse by the lead singer. Bassist Jared Followill had this to say to fans after the incident the following day, saying "I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren't stupid. I can't lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade."
I am not surprised that this band has taken a break. I AM surprised that this doesn't happen more often among bands. It makes the longevity of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers more impressive. What do you guys think?
