    Default Watch Boardwalk Empire?

Did anyone see this tonight? First of all what a great cast, from Steve Buscemi to Michael Stuhlbarg, and a whole cast of superb actors along with Terence Winter and Martin Scorsese.

At first it started slow, but halfway through it really picked up, I will not spoil it, but definitely check it out!

I thought it was excellent. Mob + Scorcese is always going to be a winner in my books. Brilliant cast and story. My wife said the first episode was supposed to be the weakest and it really picks up after that. Considering how awesome it was, I can't wait.

It's funny how cable tv is blowing network tv out of the water when it comes to programming. They take all the risks and reap the rewards.

I always love everything that HBO comes out with (The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, The Wire, True Blood, ETC) Because they don't have the time, commercial and creative restrictions that primetime network tv has, you get such a better quality product.

I'm probably going to wait until the first season ends to watch it. I could watch a season in a weekend and hate the week to week wait.

Growing up down the Jersey Shore and going to AC all the time makes me really want to see this show. Steve Buscemi always does it for me no matter how small his role (<-The messenger).

Yeah I agree I find it amazing how Cable TV like Showtime with Dexter, and its other series, along with HBO, and even TNT and USA have much better shows. Also they do not cancel it as fast as network TV.

I have never seen anything with Steve Buscemi that I did not like, he is just a great actor in everything he does.

It was very good. I had to get out of the sopranos-like mob stuff and get into the 40s atlantic city prohibition. But it was very good. cant wait til next week when it really starts to take shape.

I absolutely LOVED this premiere! Have been following it for a month and for me it has lived up to the hype. I'll be tuning in every week. I never watched the Sopranos, but if Boardwalk Empire is as big of a success as it was then we'll hopefully have many more episodes after this initial 12. Great cast, great acting, great story and great show!

Wow that was fast, HBO just renewed Boardwalk Empire after the first episode. They must have a lot of faith. Usually they wait 2-3 episodes before making an early renewal announcement.

Supposedly had 4.8 million viewers watch it live, with total of 7 million during replays
