    Default BREAKING BAD

    ok....ok....

    I'll admit it.
Breaking Bad did not appeal to me at all. I was forced to watch the first two episodes by a friend and if I wasn't hooked by then he would leave me alone about it. I thought how bad could it be? Sitting through another hollywood plot line glorifying the slinging lifestile? He had been buggin me for months! But I'll tell ya By the time the first episode was through I wasn't just hooked, I was obsessed. The darkness, the rawness...i couldn't get enough of it.

I created this post for people to discuss what they think of this show.....love it or hate it. And to possibly give some of you the push I needed to spend the time to watch it.

    so TI.....what do you think?

Braking Bad is one of the best TV series I've ever seen, and one of the main reasons I LOVE piracy and torrents and internet :)
You've pretty much said it all, the rawness and the necessity of the lifestyle in which the main character finds himself is highly powerful and reaching deep down into the depths of your soul, wanting for more!

I would like to recommend "Dexter" if you haven't seen it, has the same effect on me.

And the well known anime serie "Death Note" which is actually maybe even better than anything ever made in this manner.

Wow man, you just singled out 3 (2+BB) of my very favorite shows eva. Seriously, I think that you only missed two more animes "Eureka 7" and "Berserk". If you've watched all that, you can say goodbye to regular tv.

Shit! I forgot to mention "Berserk", of course :D

Well then... if you like "Berserk", I'd recommend "Claymore" as well, and maybe "Blood +"

I haven't seen "Eureka 7" though... It looks kind of kiddie for my taste, but I may be wrong. In the sense of a bit less gore style anime, my limit is "Bleach".

Also there's a new anime called "The Highschool of the Dead", very entertaining.
And soon there's going to be a tv series centering around zombies and stuff like that, eh :D

Sorry, for the offtopic Race799 :)

Off-topic on: Seen & Love them all! (well, still waiting for the next episode of Highschool of the Dead and it prolly is the one I like the least in here ^^). It seems that we really share the same interests xDD.
Eureka 7 is a bit different from the others, but it's good, maybe a bit sentimental at some point.
What about Code Geass? and Hajime No Ippo?
    Off-topic off (+apology)

Breaking Bad got me really hooked. I watched the first season in like 2 days. The pilot alone made me want to watch more. It's a slow series, but the suspense is build up to a climax as you progress through a season.
Same goes for Dexter. Great series!

I love breaking bad, it is one of my favorite TV shows next to Sons Of Anarchy, and Dexter

It funny I never even heard of Breaking Bad until after second season, and a friend of mine was telling me how great the show was. I was like it is on AMC though? Since when does AMC make great shows. Boy was I wrong. I started to watch it and then had to catch up and watched almost all of season 1 and season 2 in 2 different weekends.

I started watching the whole series a couple of months ago and it has turned into my favorite TV drama series so far, with Dexter being a close second.

Bryan Cranston has earned every bit of those three consecutive Emmys he won so far. I must say however that watching Cranston transition from the goofy dad in Malcolm In the Middle to Walter White feels a little weird, but this only shows what a skilled actor he is. Not many actors can pull off both sides of the acting spectrum as flawlessly as he can. I hope we can get to see him in film sometime soon, though I think he's going to be too busy with BB in the near future.
