Unthinkable - 8/10

I enjoyed this movie a lot! It's a cleverly scripted film. It's also a tense and thrilling ride as you observe the events occurring during the movie. If you're looking for a good flick, I definitely recommend this movie! if you have a weak stomach, I suggest you stay away because there are some gory scenes.

So much hype....but in the end, worth watching, especially if you have DVD or Blu-Ray, there's a nice documentary in the bonus section. And the movie was not trying to be pretentious like Inception

First, I would thank you all for your kind inputs. :001_smile: I was trying to avoid this movie after reading quite a few negative reviews from most critics. But after going through this post, I changed my mind and I'm glad I did for the movie did not disappoint me at all!

The story revolves around a group of elite mercenaries-The Expendables, who are deployed to the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Somalia to halt local pirates from executing the hostages.Although the storyline is not the best amongst the movies of the same genre that we've seen in the recent past, I thought that it was okay since I feel that one doesn't need a 'very' good story line as long as the movie is a good entertainer!

There were times during the movie that I felt he acting could have been a little more convincing but it was still good acting from an all-action caste! I got a good mix from the movie-a lot of action, some funny moments,some intense moments and a lot more insane violence that I would have hoped for- If this is a major deal-breaker for you, you may want to reconsider your decision!

Bottom line-I found it to be a very good action packed entertainer that brought back many memories of the 80's. I especially loved the all-star cast-Stallone, Statham, Li, Couture, Crews, Lundgren, Austin, Willis, Schwarzenegger and Rourke! Go watch it if you haven't yet and I look forward to reading your views!
