Thread: Recommend good TV shows and the reason for your choices

Im looking for good TV show . Smt like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Prison Break, Jericho. What do u recommend?

edit: What about True blood? Always has a lot of seeders/leechers when new episode show up. Its good show?

m8 give V 2009 a try it's real good..the story is about visitors though once 1 season is out yet but it's real good... :D :D

chuck is another good series though the story is more towards the funny side and kind of diff. from all the series you have mentioned.but it's good..

You didn't mention Lost so I'm not sure if you watched it or not, but it's also great if you like the shows you listed there.

Here's some mini-reviews by me. I just picked ones I could think of at this moment, if you want more just ask.

Supernatural: If you haven't seen this yet - go see it. This show is pure amazement, everything works out perfectly, the story line is great. It always keeps you interested and laughing at times.

True Blood: Suspense, drama and romance. It has the typical guy vampire with regular girl but the story has more to it. Lots of sex, violence and suspense.

Criminal Minds: Crime, suspense, drama. This show has 5 seasons, and it's on-going I believe. This show is amazing, I've never been into the criminal shows like CSI and all - but I believe this one to be one of the best.

Chuck: Comedy and Drama. The characters grow on you a lot, I can't say much without giving everything away but It's definitely an amazing spy-show.

Arrested Development: Not highly recommended by me. Although, It's definitely one of those shows you should watch if you have nothing else to watch. It's a cute/comedic show about a dysfunctional family.

I'd recommend Fringe and Supernatural, both shows are similar to The X-Files, though both borrow only either the sciencey (Fringe) or the supernatural (Supernatural, d'oh :) elements of the it.

Since you liked Jericho, give Jeremiah a try as well. It's a bit old and only lasted for two seasons, but it's one of the few shows with season long plots, character development and it also had a decent ending. One of my favorites. :)
Also keep an eye out on The Walking Dead, it will start this fall IIRC.

I would go for Lie to me an Spartacus: blood and sand.

I recently started watching the new series 'Persons Unknown'.

Its a bit of a mind screw, but interesting in its exploration of the human psyche when faced with mysterious events.

I have recently started on Fringe and I love the x-files feel as well.

I also love Dexter for the guest actors on each series. No 4. Has a VERY creepy John Lithgow Check him out. I am never having a bath again, EVER.
