Thread: Recommend good TV shows and the reason for your choices

The Wire is an excellent police drama set in Baltimore. Big story arcs with great characters and gritty realism. I highly recommend it.

My favorite tv show is If You Are The One,a Chinese TV show(Chinese name Fei.Cheng.Wu.Rao).
Its really a good show,everyone in my familly all love watching

I agree with everyone's picks so far. But SprayOfStar's is correct. One of the best show's in recent years has been The Wire. Five seasons of awesomeness.

Also I'm a big Buffy and Angel fan so I highly recommend those as well.

Top Gear:
This show combines the awesomeness of high-performance cars with the childhood feeling of screwing around with 3 English guys... truly brilliant show.

Fringe:
The show keeps your mind stimulated with a decent storyline and some good camerawork.

Top Gear:
... Oh wait I already mentioned that...

I'm watching the Mentalist now and loving it. It does have that tailor made 1 crime solved an episode and has few similarities to psych, but is immensely enjoyable.

If you liked Breaking Bad you'll probably like Weeds too. They're both very good.

Edit: Twin Peaks is worth a look too. It's a sort of mysterious detective drama with film noir elements.

Fringe

It's the only show I watch because it holds my attention and leaves me eager to see the next episode so I recommend this to anyone who watches tv shows!

If u into Vampires then yup true blood is an awesum show along with vampire daires(1 season over) and buffy the vampire slayer...

if u into comedy then i would recomend How i Met Your Mother....absoluetly hilarious
