Thread: Who's watching Spartacus:Blood and Sand?

Spartacus was a very good surprise to me. In the first episodes I was still having some doubts about where the series was heading but then from episode 4 and especially episode 5 it simply took off.
People can criticize that it’s only blood, violence and sex but that’s quite simplistic and unfair. Personally I enjoyed very much the amount and variety of characters, their development and relations that could not be possible without some quality writing and directing. The fights are very pleasant to watch and choreographed.
It was a shame when it was announced about Andy Whitfield’s condition and because of that the second season production was delayed until he finished his treatment. Because of that a flashback episode for the second season became a 6 part prequel mini-series.
After the good news that Andy Whitfield was expected to return to the set in October, sadly it was announced in September that the cancer returned and that he will be missing season 2.
Well, here’s hoping that he will be able to win his more important fight, that is his health and life and who knows if one day we could see him once again as Spartacus.

I absolutely love Sparticus, its such a shame about the actor that plays him and his constant health problems. Can't wait for the Prequel, and hopefully, in time, Season 2.

I tried to watch it....i was kinda drunk but it was sooo dreadful trying to go through one episode...i even downlaoded all of them but havent gotten myself to watch it..i dont know im just not feeling it. Rome was a way better series in my opinion.

At first I really hated this show, it seemed for me too lame. I mean blood spreading everywhere, scenes like in some cheap xxx movies. But after watching couple episodes I actually get used to it and I successfully finished watching entire season.
