This was one of the shows you ****ing hate it ends.

They could have no make a better series finale than this.

I felt good Daniels retired form that sh1thole and pursued his own career instead of kissing ass.
MArlo stepping up in the street at the end to feel the adrenaline was a nice touch
Bubz finnaly made up with his sister
McNulty's ""wake"" was awesome.
They also showed how the Mayor has always been at his own interest of running for gouvernor. I knew from season 3 this guy was a freaking scam
Cheese got his payback for taking out Joe

I hate a few things in the series though.

I wanted more of the Gangster Avon. They arrested him too soon he was way better than Marlo
Omar getting killed by little kid? Come on they could have put a better end to that awesome character.
****ing Rowls climbing up the ladder as much as he could
Senator Clay not going down. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeit
They took out Bodie and left almost nobody left of the bargsdale crew


It's strange i hated McNulty the whole series and now that the series is over i look back and he definetly was my favorite character.

All around this show was fantastic, HBO always gets the job done

I watched it like a year back and after reading your post I remember everything again...kinda forgot a few things. My favourite character was the brain behind Avon's business(can't remember the name :() and Marlo later in the show.

One thing I remember is that after watching The Wire I was searching for similar shows and I was recomanded to try The Shield. I really enjoyed it...maybe you want to give it a try if you haven't already watched it.

There is no doubt this is the best series ever made. It is the closest thing to a novel ever put on screen (tv or movies).

It has the single best character ever, Omar!

It has the single best scene ever, chess scene in season one.
