To those who loved the original Boondock Saints film;
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Did you like the first movie?
- Why or why not?
- Have you seen the second one?
- If yes, what did you think about it?
- Do you think there's going to be a 3rd movie? 4th? 5th?
- Do you think there *should* be more?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I loved the first movie because of how simply righteous they were in what they did. I'm not a religious man, but I firmly believe there are cases where the law fails, and a little vigilante justice (read: true justice, not revenge), is needed in this world.
I just finished watching the sequel "All Saints Day". I don't know if I would say it's better or worse than the first one, it was different, for sure - but I enjoyed it just as much. I loved the fact that the first movie painted the saints as flawless, and the second showed their vulnerabilities as men, with more emotion. While still maintaining the awesome action of the first, and the ever so classic wit.
I personally - after thinking about the ending of the sequel - believe there will be at least one more film. After searching, I found that Troy Duffy said there is some tentative talk of a third, but that he would want to complete some of his other projects first before working on it.
Considering that this film looks to be the producers highest grossing film yet, I suspect highly they will keep the chain going.
