I wait and download a movie in HD rather than xvid, I figure if I'm going to sit and watch the movie, my time is worth getting the best version I can. Of course, I'm always far behind as far as seeing the latest movies but I'd rather wait and download the bigger file for maximum enjoyment when I do watch something.
i still stay with normal scene movies!
Good point you got there buddy,still don't u think we should wait a bit before rushing into getting HD movies which are already need some more development to deliver the true experience..
haven't got into hd yet. dont really have the resources at hand..i will though someday :)
I started watching HD only a few months ago and can't go back. The old formats just have such bad quality that you can't get into the movie at all in the same way that you would with an HD one.
I don't often get time to sit down and watch a movie so when I do I want an optimal viewing experience. I have not downloaded any Standard Definition movies/tv shows since I got my PS3 and I intend to keep in that way!
HD movies, the only prob is the size and multiple encodes
the 1080p releases look great on my tv

That's because, they're not the source. I watch 720p movies if I want HD quality but I download 1080p to do my rips. I convert 1080p to a high resolution with DTS-HD audio and keep them for backups, quality of those still look like 720p since they're 2GB+ big. I am pretty messed up lol.
